Collection Coordinator

The position reports directly to the director of Operations and is responsible of the follow up and performance reporting of the Meter reading and Bill collection activities so as to ensure consistent and accurate Meter Reading activities, high rate of collection and full compliance with KPI requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities

The principal responsibilities of the head of MR and BC are to:

1- Ensure proper implementation of the MR & BC plans and procedures;

2- Liaise with EDL representatives to collect and submit LV and MV emissions;

3- Dispatch the emissions to the head of collection of each division;

4- Trace all Meter reading and Bill Collection activities to ensure meeting EDL target dates;

5- Manage the process of fixing the customers' address and meters data in case of mismatches with the client database;

6- Ensure proper Hand Held Device (HHD) usage and database update;

7- Verify readings in cases where consumption appears to be abnormal, and record possible reasons for fluctuations;

8- Filter out outstanding issues of MR and BC and generate prioritized lists of actions;

9- Report to service departments any problems such as meter irregularities, damaged equipment, or obstructions to meter access;

10- liaise with the technical departments for the implementation of needed corrective actions;

11- Escalate pending actions to the Sr. Management in a proper manner;

12- Liaise with the client and attend technical meetings and workshops;

13- Collect the revenues of BC from each division on daily basis and deposit in EDL revenues account;

14- Track and analyze MR and BC performance by generating custom weekly reports;

15- Provide central point of contact for all change requests and system alterations;

16- Import and Export of data as required to synchronize back-end systems;

17- Identify any inadequacies with existing infrastructure and processes and propose recommendations to improve the work practices;

The head of MR & BC coordinates directly with the division engineers for the starting and closing dates of the bill emissions, the update status, and with the head of call center for all calls related to bills and tariff complaints.

The head of MR & BC attends technical meetings with the client that are directly related to the MR & BC activities. He/She coordinates the payments transfer notifications with the client representative as required
