This position is integral to delivering high -quality patient care by supporting pharmacists in the accurate preparation, dispensing, and management of medications. With a solid foundation in pharmacy operations and excellent communication skills, the Pharmacy Assistant contributes to medication safety, regulatory compliance, and positive patient experiences. This role requires a proactive, organized individual who thrives in a fast -paced healthcare environment and is dedicated to upholding the highest standards of professionalism and integrity. - - - ### *Responsibilities*  - Accurately receive, verify, and process prescription orders in compliance with state and federal regulations.  - Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications, including labeling, packaging, and organizing prescriptions.  - Maintain accurate and confidential patient records using electronic health record (EHR) and pharmacy management systems.  - Respond to patient inquiries with empathy and professionalism, providing clear information about medications, dosages, and refill procedures.  - Manage inventory by monitoring stock levels, placing orders, and ensuring proper storage and handling of medications.  - Support daily pharmacy operations, including answering phones, managing incoming prescriptions, and coordinating with healthcare providers.  - Adhere strictly to HIPAA and other privacy regulations to protect patient information at all times.  - Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and compliant pharmacy workspace in accordance with safety and regulatory standards.  - Collaborate with pharmacy team members to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of prescriptions and exceptional patient service.  - - - ### *Requirements*  - High school diploma or equivalent; pharmacy technician certification (or active pursuit) is preferred.  - Minimum of 2 years of experience in a pharmacy or healthcare setting, preferably within a clinical or continuum care environment.  - Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and team members.  - Exceptional attention to detail to ensure accuracy in prescription processing and recordkeeping.  - Demonstrated ability to maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and other regulatory standards.  - Proficient in using computer systems, including pharmacy software, EHR platforms, and standard office applications.  - Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast -paced environment while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.  - Customer service orientation with a compassionate, patient -centered approach.  - Reliable, dependable, and able to work both independently and as part of a collaborative healthcare team.
