DescriptionJOB SUMMARYConduct specialized diagnostic and therapeutic audiology procedures, with a primary focus on Tinnitus Evaluation and Rehabilitation Therapy and Electrocochleography (ECochG) Testing. Support the mission and vision of the American University of Beirut Medical Center (AUBMC) and that of the Department.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / TASK GROUPSGreet, receive, and create a positive experience for every patient/family by demonstrating a professional, caring, empathetic and friendly approach following the service excellence standards and guidelines.Conduct comprehensive tinnitus evaluations, including detailed case history, audiological testing, and tinnitus specific assessments.Develop individualized tinnitus management and rehabilitation plans. Monitor and evaluate treatment progress, adjusting therapy plans as needed.Perform Electrocochleography (ECochG) tests to assess cochlear and auditory nerve function. Operate, calibrate, and maintain ECochG and audiology equipment to ensure accuracy, safety, and reliability of test results.Record, analyze, and interpret ECochG waveforms and tinnitus evaluation results with precision and accuracy.Document all findings in the patient's electronic medical record, generate detailed reports, and provide timely clinical interpretations and recommendations to the referring physician.Provide counseling and education to patients and families on tinnitus perception, coping strategies, and device-based interventions.Perform other related duties as assigned by direct Supervisor.CRITICAL COMPETENCIESClient Focus - Professionalism - Communication Skills - Problem Solving - Planning & Organizing - Ethical Practice - Patient Assessment KNOWLEDGE / KNOW-HOW:Knowledge: Proficient knowledge in Audiology Science and principles used in the assessment and treatment of auditory and vestibular disorders Proficient knowledge of Tinnitus Evaluation and Rehabilitation Therapy and Electrocochleography (ECochG) Testing. Proficient knowledge of audiometric instruments.Education: Master's Degree or Ph.D. in Medical Audiology SciencesExperience: 5-7 years of experience in Audiology, with expertise in tinnitus and ECochG procedures preferably in a hospital setting.Computer Skills: Proficient in the use of Microsoft Applications.Language: Arabic and English (EEE score >/= 32).REPORTING CHANNEL / SUPERVISORY CHANNELReporting Channel:Reporting to: 1st Level: Nurse ManagerReporting to: 2nd Level: Nurse Leader for Clinical AffairsSupervisory Channel:NoneJOB CHARACTERISTICS Physical Effort: Occasional Physical EffortWork Schedule: Regular weekdaysWorking Conditions: Exposed to patient element
