The Plant Manager will oversee all aspects of the furniture manufacturing facility, ensuring the production of high-quality products in a cost-effective and timely manner. This role requires a seasoned leader with a deep understanding of manufacturing processes, production planning, and team management within the furniture industry.


Duties and responsibilities


 Production Management: Oversee the entire production process, from raw material sourcing to finished product assembly. Ensure production schedules are met, and products meet quality and safety standards.Operational Efficiency: Develop and implement strategies to optimize plant operations, reduce production costs, and improve overall efficiency. Use lean manufacturing principles to minimize waste and enhance productivity.Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a diverse team of production supervisors, engineers, and line workers. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, safety, and collaboration.Quality Assurance: Work closely with the Quality Controller to ensure all products meet stringent quality standards. Address any quality issues promptly and implement corrective actions as necessary.Budget & Cost Management: Manage the plantâs budget, controlling expenses and ensuring cost-effective operations. Identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising quality or safety.Safety & Compliance: Ensure the plant operates in compliance with all safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies. Conduct regular safety audits and implement safety training programs.Strategic Planning: Collaborate with senior management to develop long-term strategies for plant operations, including capacity planning, technology investments, and workforce development.


Qualifications


Bachelorâs degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Manufacturing Management, or a related field.7+ years of experience in plant management, preferably within the furniture manufacturing industry.Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.Deep understanding of manufacturing processes, lean principles, and quality control.Experience with ERP systems and manufacturing software.Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and leadership skills.Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.Strong organizational and project management skills.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.Positive attitude, proactive approach, and ability to work under pressure and respecting deadlines.
