About the Role

We are hiring a Compliance & Client Protection Manager to own and strengthen Infoquest's compliance framework across expert sourcing, client interactions, and information sharing processes.

This is a hands-on operational role where you will work closely with project teams, clients, and experts to ensure all engagements happen safely, ethically, and within legal boundaries.

This person must be comfortable operating in a dynamic environment, making judgment calls, escalating critical issues, and building systems that protect the company while enabling speed and growth.

 Who we are looking for 1. Exposure to consulting, investments, or high-stakes research environments

You've worked with (or inside) management consulting firms, private equity, venture capital, market intelligence, due diligence, or other professional services settings and very clearly understand commercial/business acumen and dynamics.

2. Understanding of information-sensitive work

You understand:

  • The importance of confidentiality
  • Risks around MNPI, insider trading, and sensitive market information
  • How corporate or investment projects operate
  • Why clients expect rigorous compliance controls

(You do not need existing expert network experience, we will train you.)

3. A strong compliance mindset with willingness to learn the EN industry

You quickly understand the intricacies of the expert network industry and grasp new frameworks and can learn Infoquest's compliance structure (off limit companies (OLCs), anonymity rules, MNPI safeguards, GDPR flows, client protection processes, expert outreach rules when sourcing).

4. Ability to take ownership and act fast

You must:

  • Handle issues independently when managers are unavailable
  • Make time-sensitive corrections or escalations
  • Identify risks before they become incidents
  • Keep the business moving safely and efficiently
5. Strong communication and coaching skills

You can train associates, help PMs understand risks, and write clear internal notes or client-facing messages.

 What You'll DoCompliance Ownership & Monitoring 
  • Become a core point of contact for all project-related compliance matters
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate risks (MNPI, conflicts, client anonymity, OLC breaches) accross every project we receive 
  • Review outreach, screeners, and expert profiles for compliance accuracy
  • Lead incident management and logging
  • Advise teams on compliance rules and safe decision-making
Risk Management & Escalation
  • Handle urgent compliance situations when senior managers are unavailable
  • Pause/stop high-risk consultations immediately when needed
  • Escalate issues appropriately and document decisions
  • Support M&A, corporate strategy, and investor-driven projects with enhanced checks
Training & L&D
  • Train team on compliance best practices
  • Build micro-learning sessions, case simulations, and refresher content
  • Coach managers on identifying red flags early
Process Improvement
  • Improve and update internal compliance SOPs
  • Work closely with leadership to enhance Infoquest's Client Protection Handbook
  • Partner with Ops and Technology to automate compliance checks and workflows
Legal & Documentation (Law background is not required)
  • Draft, review, and revise contracts, NDAs, agreements, internal policies, and compliance manuals.
  • Coordinate with legal counsel when required 
  • Provide legal perspective and advisory guidance to internal teams when reviewing documents or handling external requests.
  • Ensure all legal documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and aligned with regulatory and internal requirements.
 What We're Looking ForRequired
  • 3+ years of experience in consulting, due diligence, investment research, or compliance
  • Studies in law, business, finance, political science or similar 
  • Strong analytical and risk-assessment skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and handle time-sensitive tasks
  • Willingness to learn the expert network industry from the ground up
