Actuarial Expert

In this role as a Senior Actuarial Analyst at Top Notch Consultancy, you will be responsible for analyzing complex data sets to inform actuarial decisions. This includes utilizing advanced statistical methods and modeling techniques to identify trends and optimize pricing strategies.

• Develop and maintain accurate and reliable data sets to support actuarial calculations
• Analyze data to identify trends and patterns, and provide insights to inform business decisions
• Collaborate with actuaries and other stakeholders to design and implement actuarial models and projects
• Ensure timely completion of work and adherence to departmental policies and procedures
• Compile numerical or statistical data and create mathematical or statistical diagrams or charts
• Assist in developing mathematical simulation models and sales illustration tools
• Coordinate with Audit and Accounting on implementing legal issues affecting businesses
• Utilize database tools for the development and analysis of experience studies, pricing, reserving, and other actuarial calculations
• Maintain standard documentation on assigned projects/tasks
• Perform monthly batch runs (allocation, reinsurance, charging, interest) and mathematical reserves and statistical runs
• Support segregating premiums and reserves (IFRS4)
• Carry out reinsurance account bordereaux
• Complete actuarial projects as assigned in areas such as product development and related pricing, profitability studies, cash flow testing/asset liability management/reserve analysis

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or other relevant quantitative field
• Minimum 4 years of experience as an actuarial & business analyst
• Solid knowledge and understanding of non-life products, pricing, valuation, financial reporting, and industry trends

$120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications
